SWEET NOTES

*peony card*

A sweet note or two will soon fill these cards I made for the Pink Ninjas using their May kit, *Isn't She Lovely*.....and I have to say that creating with all the goodies in this kit was very lovely indeed.  I TRULY love all their kits, but I think this is one of my favorites so far.

*mom b-day card*

And I can't wait to send this card to my beautiful mom.  The colors are warm and sweet, just like her : )

This weekend I have a little scrapbooking to do, a lot of playing with Pumpkin, a visit to the post office to mail presents, some quality time with Ryan (maybe at the fair?), a family party, hopefully only a little work, I'd love to go see the new Woody Allen movie, and I think I'm going to switch out the photos I have in frames on the walls of my home.....starting with the living room.  It's a project I've been thinking of for a while and am excited to get started.  Happy Friday!!!  <3 Carrie

SNOWBIRD

*snowbird*

This month I have been a lucky girl.  The Pink Ninjas asked me to guest for them using their May kit, Scarlet Begonias (which is a lovely kit of red, yellow and green).  If you missed it you can see my first layout for them HERE, and of course on the Pink Ninjas blog : )

For this layout, I wanted to use these instax I took while in Snowbird, on the first day it snowed while we were there (there was already lots of snow when we arrived).  I had just got out of an early morning Tai Chi class, and decided to catch some of the magic that comes with Springtime snow.  It just so happens that this lovely day was also my sister, Amber's birthday.....how perfect is that!?!  I had a blast slowly walking back to the lodge (from another building, in my shorts no less), snapping away (with both my cameras) at all this soft, fluffy white stuff.  And when it came time to put a layout together these were the first photos I thought of.  Most recently, I have been using spray paint on the background of my layouts, but for some reason watercolor felt better for this page.  Maybe it's because that's what snow looks like after it's melted and dripping down the side of a wall.....who knows!?  Anyways, it was really fun, and there were so many yummy things to layer, it made this kit is super easy to work with.....which is always nice : )  Have an awesome week peoples!  <3 Carrie

Pink Ninja Monday!

.....and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful little sister Amber!!!

PNA Amber's Birthday

PNA Amber's Birthday Collage

This is one of my new favorite layouts :)

I made it to celebrate my sister turning 24.....I used some of her favorite colors.....a photo that I took of her looking super cheerful on the Elwha River.....only the best of product from the Pink Ninja Addicts May Kits.....layered lots of papers behind and on top of the McCalls Pattern (which I still love doing).....it all makes me just so happy!

So, I'm sure my sis is at a fabulous spa somewhere with her girlfriends in Seattle.....having the best day.  And later this evening she will be with my family in WA.....my Mom is making her a special cake, and dinner, and she deserves every bit of it!  I love you sis!!!

Pink Ninja Monday!

PNA Mom Card

PNA Mom Card Collage

PNA Mom Card Envelope

Created this Mother's Day card and envelope with the lovely Pink Ninja Addicts May kits, *Thrift Shop Junkie* and *Stay Beautiful*. I just LOVE having the add-on kits, with all the juicy embellishments.....I can't seem to create projects without it this month :)

Apparently putting together matching envelopes for homemade cards, is my new thing.  Maybe I'll even incorporate it into one of my next layouts....would be kinda fun, right?

Speaking of layouts, I just finished up two layouts with my Creators' Circle kit (to share at our meeting tomorrow), and now I am totally in a layout making mode.  Currently, I am working on the wedding invitations for my sister, and finishing up a baby shower gift, but I am super excited to make some layouts with the Pink Ninja Addicts' May kits!!!  There are so many beautiful papers and goodies....I am smiling just thinking about it :-) And have you seen the layouts on the Pink Ninja Addicts blog with these kits?  They are SO beautiful...every single one of them!!!  Plus, the amazing Celine Navarro is the guest designer for this month!  She is one of my all time favorite scrapbookers, and I can't wait to be inspired by what she creates with these kits.....stay tuned for a fun blog hop with her this month.....

Happy Pink Ninja Monday!
