I see BLUE...
...and am loving the bright colors in the Bo Bunny Calypso paper line right now. It is currently for sale at Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks, and here are a couple layouts using this beautiful paper:
My brother and nephew recently vacationed at my home is San Diego, and I have been in heaven! This layout is a photo I took of my nephew at Sea World, looking in awe at the beluga whales....
And this is my sweetie, Ryan, chillin' in the shade at Sea World on the same day...

A layout for my sister...
...For her birthday this year...I will frame it, and can't wait to give it to her!!! I will be with her in less than a week and a half!
Here is the quote I hand wrote (inspired by this months "Glorious Pink Challenge"): Life is like a rainbow. You need the sun and the rain for its colors to appear.
I talked to my sister about what type of paper, etc...to use, since I want it to match her home, and decided on three American Crafts papers. All blue and white! Of course, I ended up adding other colors...sigh...colors make me happy :)
Other products used: diamond glaze to make the rain look "wet", and Sassafras paper flowers, feathers, beads, pink fabric paint, sewing, lots of pop-dots, and thickers. The clouds and rain are cut out of the American Crafts paper.

ATC Swap with transparencies!!!
I LOVE this idea!!! This fun swap was hosted by the ever so talented Ally! Here is what I came up with:
I did two versions of the same card...one with white sequins, and one with green. I added stips of paper behind the photo, and using the sewing to secure the black swirls, text, and sequins. My inspiration came from Debee Campos' ATCs, and Kara Haupt's postcards from her Etsy shop. They are both amazing artists!!!
Thanks to all the ladies that participated!!! Can't wait to see your yummies!

My first paper dolls...
...are little fairy's! I feel it is healthy to go outside your element, and try something you are not sure you are going to enjoy...I ALWAYS end up learning something! I used a photo of myself, and printed it up on matte photo paper...made it a dress, gave it a matching flower for a wand...and stickeled the shoelaces iridescent! There are 6 dolls total...all different colors...they were for a swap I did with my friends...thanks girls!!! It was loads of FUN!!!

Happy Fourth!
It's a beautiful day, and today I am remembering my 4th of July's spent in Washington. Living on the coast, the summer's were sunny and green, and it wouldn't get dark until until very late. The evening of July 4th, we would climb aboard my grandpa's sailboat, and sail out to see the fireworks...there is nothing like seeing fireworks on a clear summer night, out in the still ocean...it seemed almost twice as bright with all the reflections sparkling in the water...there were lots of ooohhhhs, and aaahhhs, and it seemed to last forever...
Happy Independence Day!!!
