{layout video} there were never such devoted sisters

{layout} there were never such devoted sisters | full

Hello, hello. Here's my next layout and scrapbooking process video. This project was inspired by Stephanie Bryan and a layout she shared on Instagram for Glitz Design from CHA (she has not yet published it to her blog, except for a sneak).  When I saw all those lovely triangles, I knew that design would be perfect for the fun, trendy energy I wanted in this layout about the relationship between me and my little sister.  Here's the video:

And some detail shots.  Lots of layers, my favorite : )

Since this photo was taken at the beach (more pics from our adventure HERE), I added in the cutest little puffy sticker fish from Michaels.

Some Studio Calico wood veneer triangles and glue splatter with neon yellow and pink glitter.  As an important side note: I made sure to add clear sealer over the entire layout so that the glitter wouldn't rub off.....it worked great!

Sewed using gold thread, and added some Basic Grey flags.  The title is from a song we use to sing as kids (we knew if from the movie White Christmas).  When one of my other sisters saw the pics of us at the beach on Instagram, she commented leaving only these lyrics.....which is pretty much the best in my book.  Not sure when my next video will be...still working on using my nice camera for better quality (should be soon though).  XO

{disposable camera} beach bound

{disposable camera} beach bound | driving withe the windows rolled down

Today I thought it would be fun to share the photos my little sister and I shot with the disposable camera we took to the beach. There is a layout with process video using the sample sheet from the camera's roll of film in THIS post talking more about our lovely afternoon.

On a side note all the photos from the disposable are straight from the film strips with no editing. You will also find a couple phone pics thrown into the mix along with two silly Instagram videos.  Enjoy!  XO

{layout video} located here. fun!

{layout} located here. fun! | full

Hello All! It's been a while since I've shared in this little Internet space of mine, and I've missed it. However, Ryan and I have been really enjoying this lovely Summertime and all the activities that go along with it from living in Seattle.

Today I'm sharing my first scrapbook process video (please excuse the poor quality, my nice camera was too heavy for the tripod arm). For this layout I used mostly Glitz Design Color Me Happy products, a Crate Paper photo frame, and a few of my favorite embellishments handmade by Brittany McLeod (otherwise known as @kraftybuns...her scrapbook process videos are my all time favorite!). Here's my video:

Since the background was so busy I didn't use as much thread as usual. The layered arrow tip and resin flower embellishments are by @kraftybuns.

To add depth, there is black watercolor paint, pink spray paint, and bronze color shine.

The date label is also by @kraftybuns.

The photo on this layout is the sample sheet from some Costco prints. My little sister and I went to the beach to cool off one afternoon and took a disposable camera as a "just for fun" treat. We had a grape fight, waded up to our knees in the cold ocean water, took lots of silly photos, and listened to music on my phone while watching the clouds. Hope you enjoyed this little peek into our afternoon. XO
