Pink Ninja Monday!

Pink Ninja Addicts *Bloom* Layout

Pink Ninja Addicts *Bloom* Layout Collage

Happy Monday to you all!  Today I loving all the pretty little purple flowers in this layout.....and, you can't see it well (except for in person), but the main photo also has my black boots, and a pretty chiffon black skirt flowing in the wind (just at the bottom edge)....I love that too :)  Give me a nice breeze and I'm a happy girl.

I don't create many 8 and 1/2 by 11 layouts, but decided it was the perfect size for this project once I decided I was going to print out the background image, (and my printer only prints 8 and 1/2 by 11 or smaller).  It was fun putting it all together.  I altered the background photo to have a different feel/look than the main (smaller) photo. I wanted it to feel more like a background, so it has a faint texture of lines, and is quite a bit brighter.  Once I had the photos ready, it was super easy to pick trough all the beautiful papers and embellishments in the Pink Ninja Addicts *Accidently Kelly Street* kit AND the *World Is New* add-on kit.....I personally feel these kits compliment "nature" photos very well.

Anyways, I am off to work on a minibook with some CRAZY photos!  Have a beautiful day :)

Hugs,
Carrie

Rosy Easter Kit

Rosy Easter Kit Basket

I have been a bit under the weather, but mostly busy making lots of fun stuff....so I have lots to share in the next week or so.  The feeling of completing a project is very fulfilling, so my life has felt very full lately.  It's nice :)

First I would like to share with you my Rosy Easter Kit.  The photo above is a version of the Easter Basket I put together for my beautiful friend Jane.  My contribution to our Easter basket exchange this past Tuesday at Creators' Circle.  We had a fun meeting.  Here is a peek at what's inside.....

Rosy Easter Kit

.....Some pretty paper embellishments, a vase with flowers, handmade tags, ribbon, bakers twine, a pin with peals, clothespin, silk flower clip, handmade fabric and paper tag minibook, and a piece of ladybug tissue paper.  I ended up making quite a few of these little kits for friends, and family this year.  I have been trying t give more home made gifts this year :)

And here are some of the details.....

I am going out with some friends for Indian food this evening...never had it before, but I love trying new things (even though I'm a picky eater).  Hope your weekend is fantastic!

Smiles!

Pink Ninja Monday!

Mini Journals Collage

These are my most recent creations with the Pink Ninja Addicts *Accidently Kelly Street* kit.  Aren't the colors beautiful!  Ally, handmade the beautiful fabric flowers that come in the kit, and all I did was add the cute little flair in the middle :)

The mini composition book on the top is a *Gnome Travel Journal* I made for a friend that is taking a trip to Italy for her birthday.  When I saw the gnome flair I thought of a part in the movie "Amelie" where she takes the gnome from her Dad's yard (without him knowing) and sends him photos of the gnome traveling all over the world (she wants her Dad to get out more).....anyways, I though the gnome situation was a cute idea.....or at least fun :)

The little book on the bottom of the collage is a *Mad Hatter Journal* for my niece.  She loves the Mad Hatter in the new "Alice In Wonderland" movie, and her favorite color is blue....so, this was my contribution to her Easter basket.  She gave me a big hug and smile when she opened it.  It was nice.

I'm off to meet a friend for some fun!  Happy Monday!

Love,
Carrie

Happy Easter!!!

Olive The Owl

Meet Olive the owl.  She is a very sweet tiny owl that found her way into an Easter basket I recently put together for a friend.  She is handmade by me, and will have some adorable siblings very soon.  She wishes you a happy Easter too!

I also have Pink Ninja Addicts love for you!!!  They are having an Easter promo through Monday, April 4th, where you can purchase any four kits for $100 (while supplies last.....don't you just love great deals, and you could always share the order with a friend)!!!  Here is a link to their shop

On Monday I will be sharing my first project with the beautiful *Accidently Kelly Street* kit.  Sigh, I am truly in love with this kit right now.....

Have a beautiful day!
