{december 3rd} christmas countdown mini

{december 3} christmas countdown mini | pg 1
For documenting the 3rd day of December I used one of the pre-sewn pockets from the Christmas Countdown Kit with two of the tags.  For the first tag I added some of the white with gold bakers twine.

Attached to the front of the pocket is one of the chalkboard tags.  I wanted it to look like chalk as much as possible, so I drew on it with chalk, sprayed clear sealer over the top, went over the chalk area with a white sharpie pen, used the sealer again, and then finally touched up the edges with a little more chalk.  I think the result is pretty fun : )

For the front of the first tag, I attached part of the wrapper of my favorite holiday snack....marzipan chocolates!  There is also a thin strip of paper at the top of the wrapper to help it blend in.

Below is the journaling on the backside added with my typewriter.  Again, strips of paper were added to the bottom for character.

For the second tag, I used the above photo (cropped) to help tell the story of my shopping day with my Dad.  The photo is layered with patterned paper just to add in more patterns and bring in a little more white.

My typewriter was used for the journaling on the back of the second tag as well.

Lastly, I added in a larger photo I took this afternoon after noticing a single icicle outside our front window.  It's been a bit chilly here, and was excited for my first icicle of the season!

The back of the photo is covered with more patterned paper.

This spread ended up being super simple.  Mostly because I am under the weather and just not up for much.  All the supplies are from the Christmas Countdown Kit, and there is still one left which you can purchase HERE if you like.

I'm hoping I start to feel better tomorrow so my Dad and I can listen to Christmas music and decorate our blue Christmas treeeeeeee! XO
